Expecting some items to upgrade

I am expecting to receive a digital coax cable,subwoofer cable and a mint conditon sherwood RD-7500 receiver today that I purchased on E-Bay. I believe that I got everything for a good price, partculaly the reciever. I believe the Dolby Pro-Logic 2 and DTS-Neo DSP modes will add to my speaker layout performance on those sources that I have recorded in two channel Dolby Surround. I am very curious to see how these two DSP modes function. I also have two channel video recordings in stereo that I took from 1985 to 1992 in both hi-fi and linear stereo. I used to get surround sound on my dynaquad circuit from these recordings. Will I get this same effect on these 2 DSP modes? I will report back on my findings on this blog.
